The culmination of a traffic calming initiative begun in 2001 will soon be realized with the installation of "speed humps" along Equestrian Street.  The Mat Su Borough will be installing these traffic calming devices some time during 2010 in an effort to regulate and restrict drivers who continue to travel down this road at excessive speeds.  

While, not yet finalized, the plan is to install the speed humps and then remove the stop signs currently placed along the street.  The HOA originally asked the Borough to take measures to improve safety on this street in 2001, and has continued to press for a permanent solution  to the speed issue.   We will update the information as it becomes available.

The Equestrian Neighborhoods are premier subdivisions located approximately 1/2 mile west of Palmer.
